The film "War Horse" is a 2011 war drama directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Michael Morpurgo from England.
The film took place in Devon, England and it is about a friendship between a young boy, Albert Narracott (Jeremy Irvine) and his horse Joey, which his father Ted (Peter Mullan) and his mother Rose (Emily Watson) bought for their farm. Albert was trying to learn his horse farm's works, such as ploughing, to avoid giving him away. Unfortunately, a storm destroys the culture and Albert's father decides to sell the horse to the British cavalry and take him to France. In France, after a disastrous fighting, Joey is captured by the Germans. Finally he is returned back to British lines, where Albert is a soldier in the war, his resolution to find his horse. Despite, he was temporary blind by gas, he recognize his old friend Joey and safe him from the death.
I chose War Horse, because it is a touching movie. It is based on the World War I and for this reason is offers a number of memorable moments about the negative consequences of any war. My favorite scene in the film is when Albert, even he was temporary blind, manage to recognize Joey.
I recommend to my classmates to watch "War Horse", especially them who really like war movies. It give us a hope that if we really want to achieve something in our lives, we can make it happen after great effort.

Hello Ioanna,
ReplyDeleteWar horse seems like a really astonishing movie. I would like to ask you how did Joey managed to escape from the German troops and return to the English ones.
Regards,
Philippos Ioannou
Hello Philippe,
DeleteThank you for your comment! Well, two German soldiers escape from the war because they were very afraid. They left with Joey, but Germans found them and kill them, but Joey was found by a little girl Emilie and kept him. But one day, German soldiers found Joey and took him for pulling heavy artillery. Joey escapes and runs into the no-man's land. There, a British soldier guide Joey to the British lines. Then, he meet Albert!
Best wishes,
Ioanna
